UX Design II

In our UX Design II course we were assigned to investigate how personalization could be used in an existing digital product.
We used the dating app Tinder as our case, where we first found research previously done on the motivations of using dating apps. From those findings we created a survey with both quantitative and qualitative questions to see if it corresponded with the existing research on the subject.
The screenshot below is from our Figma prototype from one of the last iterations of our process. Prior to this we had made simple paper prototypes to test, evaluate and iterate on our concept. We ended on a concept of an add-on to Tinder where users would be confronted by their own preferences on the app which would be registered by image recognition AI. The users would receive a prompt with a question that asked about the collected data about their preferences. From this they could choose to see an overview of the data the AI had collected about their actions.

Lastly, we used the think-aloud technique for a usability test which both tested the intuitivity of the app as well as the concept overall.
